How We Review

We are a research site, not a test bench. Here is exactly what that means.

What we collect

For every guide we gather the reviewer videos covering the products, the comments underneath them, and public owner reports. Our first three guides drew on 44 videos and 762 comments.

What we do with it

Every comment is classified for whether it came from a real owner, what they were reporting and what kind of problem it was. 592 of those 762 read as owners.

Every number spoken in a transcript is extracted and checked against one question: did the speaker verify this, or read it off a spec sheet. Most numbers fail that check and we say so.

What we will not do

We will not describe how a wheel feels under load. We have not driven it.

We will not claim a testing process we did not run.

We will not fill a gap in the evidence with a guess.
